Woodlands Council Presentation on "Effective School Council Practices"

The Woodlands School Council was asked to present on the subject of "Effective School Council Practices" at the Peel District School Board's "Great Start" event on October 26, 2009.

Sangeeta Chopra-Charron, Jeanne Gray, and Mark Langley led two well-attended and lively discussion groups. The Powerpoint slides from this presentation can be downloaded below.

October 2009 Seminar Topics Survey

The school council surveyed the parent community in October 2009 to gauge interest in a variety of potential seminar topics and solicit suggestions for improving the seminar series. The results of this survey were published at the October 19, 2009 council meeting and are reproduced here.

Destination Pathways of 2008 Woodlands Graduates

With assistance from the administration, the school council has analysed and published Pathways data for the 2008 graduating class.

The attached PDF files report the destination school and program for graduates entering the Ontario colleges and universities system in 2008. Because of data unavailability, it does NOT include information on any of the following:

  • students attending universities/colleges outside of Ontario;
  • students attending U.S. universities;
  • students studying in apprenticeship programs;
  • students who entered the workforce directly.
