The Senior Girls volleyball team kicked off their season with a win against St. Martins. Leading the Rams with kills was Tammy D. and Lisa B. Way to go girls! Next home game is this coming Wednesday.
The Cross country team had a fantastic meet. Everyone did an excellent job. Special mention goes to the top 5 runners:
Hassaan K. in 21st place, Sarah Z. in 43rd, Steven T. in 46th, Travis M. in 56th and Howard W. and Chetanand N. both in 66th place. Good luck to everyone for their next meet, ROPSSAA.
A solid effort was made by the entire Senior Girls Basketball team. The final score was 30-15 for the Senior Girls Team. A special shout out for Rebecca L., our top scorer. Good luck this Thursday!
The Junior Girls Basketball team started the season with an impressive home win over a strong St. Augustine Squad. The Rams played great defense from start to finish. Janet L. led all scorers with 12 points and Mehwish P. chipped in with 8, but it was a good team effort overall that secured the win. Thank you to all the fans that came to support the Woodlands Rams!
The Senior Boys Volleyball team won their first game opener against the Applewood Axeman. Leading our team with kills and blocks was Tian, Thomas L. and Mostafa A. Excellent defense was played by Eden L. and Ji Sang H. As always, our offense was lead with perfection by Ryan L. and Evan.
On May 27th, the Woodlands' Team had a tremendous victory over players from St. Paul's, Lorne Park, Iona and St. Martin at the ROPSSAA Qualifying Tournament. The Woodlands' Team swept all the qualifying spots in the division for the Championship. The team got the first, second and third places finish for Boys Singles, Boys Doubles and Mixed Doubles; and the first and second places finish for Girls Singles and Girls Doubles.
Congratulations go to Ellen Y. who finished in the fifth place for Girls Singles, Leting L. and Dickson W. in the third place for Mixed Doubles, Jack Y. and Daniel M. in the third place for Boys Doubles and Saad S. in the third place for Boys Singles.

Woodlands' smallest team finished big at the ROPSSAA Track and Field championships. Hannah M-A., won the first gold medal of the meet in the 1500m steeplechase and followed up with a silver medal in the 3000m. Antya E. also captured a silver in the 80m hurdles in her first ever ROPSSAA Championship. Richard N. in the 400m and 800m and Dylan M. in the 400m hurdles completed a successful meet. Good luck to Hannah and Antya as they move on in their quest for OFSAA glory!
Congratulations to Mr. Monetta and Ms. Young for the excellent wrestling season that they have underway. Best wishes as they accompany our ROPSSAA Gold Medal winner Shekhar S. to the OFSAA championships in early March.
The Woodlands School was one of 50 schools to compete at ROPSSAA. Congratulations to H. McCurdy-Adams and S. Tran for placing 5th out of 179 and 17th out of 266 respectively. They should be proud of their accomplishments.
